Welcome to the online store for Lissette's Etched Creations Co. (the "Store"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all purchases made through this Store and all interactions with our custom engraving services. By accessing or placing an order through the Store, you signify your informed consent and agreement to be bound by these Terms.
 

I. General Website and Store Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or use our services independently. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our applicable policies.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All original website content, photographs, product designs, descriptions, logos, and branding belonging to Lissette’s Etched Creations Co. are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our original content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Customers retain ownership of artwork, logos, and other materials they provide, subject to any applicable third-party rights.

3. Pricing and Payments

Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel or decline orders placed at an incorrect price.

Applicable sales tax and shipping charges will be calculated when appropriate.

For custom orders, a deposit or full payment may be required before design work or production begins. Payment requirements will be communicated in the invoice or order confirmation.

Any remaining balance must be paid according to the agreed payment terms before the completed order is released, shipped, or delivered.

II. Custom Engraving, Production, and Design

1. Order and Acceptance

Submitting an order or custom project request does not automatically guarantee acceptance.

Custom orders are considered accepted once the project details, pricing, and applicable payment requirements have been confirmed.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if the requested design, materials, timeline, or production requirements cannot reasonably be accommodated.

2. Proof Approval and Client Responsibility

For personalized and custom items, customers are responsible for reviewing all approved proofs, including spelling, names, dates, wording, design elements, dimensions, and placement.

Lissette’s Etched Creations Co. is not responsible for errors that appear in a proof approved by the customer.

Once a proof has been approved and production has begun, requested changes may result in additional charges or may no longer be possible.

If an error occurs during production that differs from the approved proof, we will review the situation and work toward an appropriate resolution.

3. Product Variations

Many of our products are made from natural materials, including walnut, maple, oak, cherry, and other woods.

Natural variations in grain, color, knots, texture, and finish are expected and contribute to the unique appearance of each piece.

Engraving results may also vary depending on the material, surface, coating, and manufacturing characteristics.

These natural or material-related variations are not considered defects unless the finished product materially differs from the agreed specifications.

4. Customer-Provided Items and Test Engraving

Lissette’s Etched Creations Co. may accept customer-provided products for engraving, subject to our review and approval.

Because materials, coatings, and finishes vary, not every item is suitable for engraving, and results cannot be guaranteed to be identical across all products.

Testing Requirements

We may request one additional item for testing to determine suitable engraving settings and evaluate material compatibility before working on the remaining products.

Testing may permanently mark, discolor, damage, or otherwise alter the test item. We will explain the testing requirement and obtain customer authorization before proceeding.

Engraving Risks and Limitations

Although we take reasonable precautions, engraving results may vary depending on an item’s material, coating, construction, condition, and manufacturing process.

Successful testing helps reduce the risk of damage but does not guarantee identical results on every item.

If a customer provides only one item or an item that cannot be replaced, we will evaluate whether the project can reasonably proceed without testing. We may decline the project if the risk is too high.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are encouraged to provide accurate information about the item’s materials, coatings, finishes, and any special handling requirements.

We reserve the right to decline customer-provided items that we determine are unsuitable or unsafe for engraving.

Damage and Liability

We exercise reasonable care when handling and engraving customer-provided items.

However, we are not responsible for damage or unsatisfactory results caused solely by undisclosed material characteristics, inherent defects, or material incompatibility, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This provision does not exclude responsibility for damage resulting from our negligence or failure to exercise reasonable care.

5. Right to Promotion

Unless the customer requests otherwise in writing before production or delivery, Lissette’s Etched Creations Co. may photograph completed projects and share those images on our website, social media accounts, and other promotional materials.

​

We will make reasonable efforts to avoid displaying private customer information.

​

Customers who prefer that their projects not be photographed or shared should notify us in writing.
